How to get:
Today, HDPE is available in a variety of ways. In free radical polymerization, high pressure is applied. HDPE features:
Although HDPE is similar to LDPE in appearance, it is a harder polymer with a molecular weight of about 150,000-400,000. It has good water resistance and chemical resistance. It is not as resistant to light and outdoor conditions as LDPE. This resistance can be increased with special fillers. The mechanical properties are very good, especially the impact strength and tensile strength are very high. Some fillers can be used to further improve the performance. Usually tensile strength is about 225-350 kgf/cm2. Withstand temperature over 100℃. It is a material suitable for a variety of molding methods, such as injection, extrusion, powder spraying, film drawing, roll molding, etc. Keeping the injection mold temperature at 50-70 °C can improve the quality of the product coming out of the equipment. HDPE is also ideal for electrical applications.

HDPE is widely used in the production of pressure pipes, gas distribution pipes, bottles, cans, drums, white goods and machine parts, insulators, toys, electrical and electronic products. Because HDPE is water resistant, it can also be used in ship and warehouse construction.
